not good that they think this is Indian dance culture...there is so much more to that than just Bollywood... but honestly I think the routine was really excellent...everything you can expect...dance moves, energy, rhythm...full marks to them on that...
We cannot blame anybody else for thinking it is our culture - that is the way we have been going about things for some time now. There seem to be more Bollywood dance schools than traditional in the US for NRIs. I heard we had "stars" dancing for us at Sydney olympics.
I would say, it is evolved enough to accept as a new dance form - lots of hand movements from traditional dances, leg movements from hip-hop (except for the unique bollywood one foot hop - once you master that, you can be an extra in any song), and of course some jumps and turns from folk dances.

Well, the theme here was not Indian dance culture, but Bollywood. So, I dont find anything wrong with the choice of song and dance.
But have to appreciate the effort they put into the whole routine to give such a performance. Full marks to them!!!
